Gelli Fawr October Pumpkin Spice Wedding

Autumnal staggered arch floral decor
Gelli Fawr’s Moon Door Arch

Sarah and Alex always knew they wanted to get married in October, but although the date was the 31st of October, the vision was more about giving a gentle nod to Halloween, rather than creating a full on spook fest!

Gelli Fawr has a lovely moon door style arch that couples are welcome to use and it’s up to the couple whether they want to decorate it or not. Sarah gave me free reign to do whatever I liked, within their pumpkin spice colour theme and I really wanted to create a colourful forest that looked like it was trying to engulf the arch, with escaping vines, pumpkins nestled into the bottom and dried leaves on the floor to reflect the Autumn season. There was also a matching ceremony table centrepiece to adorn the intricate Gelli Fawr ceremony table. The drapery and candle arrangements were provided by the incredible Quirk It who had styled the entire venue to perfection ❤️

Asymmetrical Autumnal Bridal Bouquet

Sarah wanted something contemporary and stylish for her bouquet so opted for a large asymmetrical bouquet with lots of escaping elements. We used our home grown flowers and foliage, including Eucalyptus, dried ferns, grasses and chocolate vine to create the shape then Chrysanthemums, Roses, Dahlias, Zinnia and Phlox added the oranges, creams and dusty pinks to encapsulate the colour theme.

Sarah’s wedding hairstyle was really pretty and flattering created by the very lovely Claire Louise, with stunningly natural make-up by Nicola MUA. We think Sarah looked absolutely beautiful and Alex couldn’t keep his eyes off his gorgeous bride 😍

Confetti shots galore!

After the ceremony it was straight into the confetti throw, so much fun 😁 and Sarah and Alex chose the super talented Tayla & Co. a local photographer, who captures colour and candid moments just beautifully.

Mix and Match Burnt Orange Bridesmaids Dresses

After the confetti shots it was time for a few drinks and the group shots. Sarah’s bridesmaids were so up for it and we just love the burnt orange dresses in a mixture of styles. Super modern and stylish, every bridesmaid had a dress that suited their personality, flattered their figures and the colour made their bouquets really pop.

The Reception Room at Gelli Fawr

Whilst the group shots were happening I was busy moving the arch and ceremony table centrepiece to the top table. Quirk it had styled the room and tables with linens, cutlery, glass ware and brass vases. We added flowers to the vases and dotted loose flower heads and foliage onto the table cloths to finish off the look. There were disco balls a plenty, plus giant LOVE letters and romantic candle light, again provided by Quirk It. We think it looks just perfect for the romantic, autumnal vibe that the couple were going for.

One final couples shoot then it was off to the reception room for fabulous food and drinks, then to party the night away!

Llongyfarchiadau Sarah and Alex, thank you for choosing us, we loved creating the flowers for your perfect day so very much.
